This policy describes how SMS and MMS messaging works on the Worklane platform, the consent we (and our Customers) require before sending messages, and your rights as a recipient. It supplements our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.
Program description
Worklane enables businesses ("Customers") to send and receive SMS and MMS messages with their own customers through carrier-registered application-to-person (A2P 10DLC) messaging. Messages include appointment confirmations, reminders, quotes, service updates, replies from support, billing notifications, and — where a recipient has given separate consent — marketing communications.
Sender of record
Worklane, LLC is the registered A2P 10DLC brand and campaign holder for messaging delivered through the Worklane platform. Carriers identify Worklane as the sending entity; the Customer (the business you opted in with) is the named brand on whose behalf each message is sent. Every outbound message identifies the Customer in the message body so you always know which business is contacting you.
Worklane processes phone numbers, message content, and consent records as a data processor on behalf of each Customer. Customers remain responsible for the content of their messages, the lawful basis for sending them, and the accuracy of the consent records they collect through Worklane-hosted opt-in forms.
Consent
By providing a mobile number to a business that uses Worklane and agreeing to receive messages, you consent to receive SMS or MMS messages from that business at the number you provided. Message and data rates may apply. Consent is not a condition of purchase.
How consent is collected
- Opt-in forms on a business's website or booking page;
- Checkboxes at checkout, intake, or account signup;
- Replying
YES(or similar) to a double opt-in confirmation message; - Providing your number in a chat or support conversation where opt-in language is displayed.
We require Customers to keep records of when and how consent was obtained. Consent applies only to the business you opted in with — not to other Worklane Customers.
Message frequency
Frequency varies by business and program. Transactional messages (such as appointment reminders) are typically sent as triggered by your interactions. Marketing programs, where applicable, are capped at a reasonable frequency disclosed at opt-in.
Opt-out
You can opt out of messages at any time by replying with any of the following keywords to a message from the relevant business:
STOPUNSUBSCRIBECANCELENDQUIT
After you send STOP, you will receive a single confirmation message and no further messages from that business's program, except where re-initiated by your own explicit request (for example, booking a new appointment). Opt-out applies per program; if you want to opt out of all messaging from a business, reply STOP ALL or email the business directly.
Help
For help, reply HELP to any message from the business. You will receive a reply with contact information for the sending business. You can also email support@worklane.ai for help with the Worklane platform itself.
Message and data rates
Message and data rates may apply, depending on your mobile carrier and plan. Worklane and the sending business are not responsible for carrier charges.
Carriers
Supported carriers include AT&T, T-Mobile, Verizon, and most other major U.S. carriers. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
Privacy
We treat your mobile number and message content as personal information. See the Privacy Policy for how we collect, use, and share that information. We do not sell or share mobile opt-in information or consent records with third parties for their own marketing purposes.
Rules for Customers sending through Worklane
